Spain Have Won the Soccer World Cup

Spain Team have Won the FIFA World Cup

Spain team was fantastic. They deserved to win. They had a rough start but a great comeback and finish.
They played beautiful, a very technical team, with a great control of the ball like I always loved to see in a match. I was very disappointed about Brasil’s and Portugal’s early disqualifying.

Netherlands played Vigorously

I was, in the end, negatively impressed by Holland’s, at least, vigorous play. They have been booked 8 times with the yellow card and had Heitinga booked with the red card. That must be a record.
They left me a bitter taste because it was one of my favorite teams. I loved this team and I expected it to be in the final.

Only One Goal

The game was a dry one for soccer fans who love to see many goals. Only one goal. At the end of the extra time. That must have made it tougher for the dutch to come back. Only 5 minutes to score.

Iniesta the Man of the Match

Iniesta, who scored the goal, was definitely the man of the match and he was Spain’s key player for the tournament. One of the best players in the world. He made the difference. He was served with a great pass from Fabregas, controlled beautifully the ball and shot in the goal shaking the net and the dutch.

Two Powerful Teams

Spain had a great midfield, which was decisive in the match, Netherlands had a great game plan, which they sticked to, and it almost paid off since they had a few big chances to score. Robben’s occasions were the most notable, I still don’t know how he missed the two huge chances he had.

Great football, I mean soccer, whatever…

Thank you to all the teams for a great tournament.

Do you think that Spain should have won? Do they deserve the title?

Oh, I almost forgot another hero of the match, Iker Casillias. Great saves. And here he is giving an interview to Sara Carbonero. He is very emotional and he has a surprising reaction at the end. Watch the whole clip although is not translated.
